Aka Hawaiki

Art Studio

Aka studio is a place to learn about and experiment with ancient Amate paper and Kapa cloth-making.

Rascha and Manzano created Aka as a place to celebrate their heritage and invite others to discover.

The gallery space is filled with original art work by Manzano along with a curated display of pieces selected for their technique and authenticity.

The couple study Kapa cloth with Hawaiian master Kapa maker, Roen Hufford, while they continue reasearch of Amate paper in Puebla, Mexico.
